    Hi Keymaster

Would it be possible to start the folder tree with the drives instead of listing all those virtual folder links?

    Virtual Folder Links

These can easily be accessed through various other means.

    Happy Easter to everybody!

It somehow doesn’t take the jpg I wanted to include…

I am talking about those folders:

    Pictures

    Desktop

    Documents

    Downloads

    Music

    Videos

All shown under ‘This PC’ …

    Hi Charles,

Are you aware that on the left of each pane, there is a Drive Panel ? If yes, I suppose you would like to have the drives in the treeview anyways.
I’m not against. Basically, I wanted to keep the hierarchy as basic as possible, knowing that the Root in Windows is the Desktop virtual folder. But I appreciate the idea to pimp it a bit. I add your suggestion to my to do list 👍

    Hi Keymaster

Thanks for your feedback! From  a mere puristic point of view you are of course right!

And, yes, I am aware of the Drive Panel (very handy).

But: when the focus is on one of these virtual folders (above the C:\ drive) and I go and select the drive C:\ the focus jumps to the same virtual folder but now underneath said drive C:\ in Users…. So the Drive Panel’s context seems to be ‘Users’ .

Only when the focus is on a branch below the drives roots, does the focus jump to C:\ or D:\ …

But it’s a mere cosmetic problem, I can live with that perfectly well 😉.

    Thanks for the great work!

    Charles
